We managed to catch another cougar...and hopefully keep him forever! We (staff and clients alike) have quickly come to absolutely adore Dr. Bell. His approachable and friendly nature, compassion and gentle care with the critters and great sense of humor allowed him to make his mark on our hearts immediately. There was no question that he was a surefire fit not only as a NCVH team member, but as a provider to our beloved patients and their parents.
Dr. Bell is a 2018 Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine graduate. He also acquired his Bachelor's degree in Science and Biology from the University of Washington in 2012.
He comes from a Japanese-American household where he grew up as the older brother to two younger sisters. He is also recently engaged, where he vacationed in Japan with his fiancee, and they even recently bought a house together where they enjoy their time with their 3 cats, dog and a horse! Congratulations you two!
In his free time, Dr. Bell really enjoys the outdoors where he plays golf and soccer. He also enjoys snowboarding, hiking, biking, kayaking, camping and gardening. He even possesses hidden talents in playing banjo and piano!
We would like to welcome NCVH newest doctor, Dr. Brittni Huffman! Dr. Huffman graduated with Honors from the Washington State University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2024. Dr. Huffman started her veterinary career at Bellingham Technical College where she obtained her veterinary technician license. During her time at BTC she found her love for veterinary medicine and decided to jump right back into school to obtain her Bachelor’s Degree in Ecology, Evolution & Organismal Biology at Western Washington University, before being accepted to the WSU Veterinary program.
Dr. Huffman is excited to continue her veterinary education and hopes to soon become licensed in small animal acupuncture.
Dr. Huffman grew up in Burlington Washington. You may have run into her while she was growing up at her parent’s campground, the Burlington KOA, which they owned from 1993-2012.
Dr. Huffman currently lives with her two horses Mistie & Holly, Koda a German Shepherd mix, Tate a Golden retriever, Zephyr a sand boa and a small flock of chickens. In her spare time she enjoys reading, hiking and trail riding.
