Scaredy was born sometime in 2011 or 2012…we think.
He came into our yard starving & in really bad shape 7 years ago. We think he was abandoned.
He passed away in his sleep sometime during the night on July 31, 2024.
Scaredy was the love of our lives.
In our 80’s now & over the years, we have always had a kitty or two, but never one as bright, as sweet, or as smart as our Scaredy!
We miss him terribly…he was our boy.

On June 18th I had to say good bye to my BFF.
He always knew I needed a hug or a kiss (lick) to make things good.
I’m really going to miss Bailey.
February 2007-June 8, 2024
Lucy was a quiet, but spicy girl. It took time for her to warm up but when she did she was a great lap warmer. She will be sooooo missed. Forever loved, forever missed. We love you sweet girl.
Boy, are we going to miss that furball, he was the friendliest kitty and acted more like a dog than a cat sometimes…..who can forget that ever-wagging tail!
And oh did he enjoy a party, never fearful of a crowd and always ready to meet a new lap.
His love of treats equaled our own love of goodies – and catnip was his drug of choice, altho a can of Friskies was a close 2nd.
It’s so hard to say goodbye to our pets, but it is also a gift to have the time with them that we do. The sadness of losing him is greatly outweighed by the pleasure he gave us.
We’ll hold Tucker in our hearts always. He was da best.
Love,
Jane and Paul (and Ziggy, who seems happy to be #1 kitty now)

Our sweet Willy was born aroung January 30, 2005. We were his 3rd and forever home when we adopted him at 7 years old. He lived a long happy life barking at squirrels, wiggling around on his back, and barking like the big dogs. So many fond memories we remember after he crossed the rainbow bridge January 20, 2024. We love and miss you forever sweet boy! Love your family.
12/8/12-11/16/23
She was the sweetest girl that gave the best snuggles and the worst breath imaginable. We’re going to miss our couch time and your stinky kisses sweet girl. We’ll love you forever….
April 2009 - November 2022
Merlin was a beautiful boy and such a sweetheart. He belonged to my husband before we got married, and he was definitely "dad's" dog. He had a red Kong rubber ball that was his absolute favorite toy. (Anything with stuffing would be destroyed in less than 30 minutes.) When he wanted to play, he would drop that ball at your feet, and if you didn't throw it immediately, he would pick it up and drop it again! About the only time he ever whined was when that ball rolled under the sofa and he couldn't get to it. Merlin was the most chill dog you'd ever meet, and he had such an expressive face, sometimes you really thought you could hear what he was thinking. As he aged, he lost his hearing and eventually his sight too, but he never lost his sweetness. He is very loved and very missed, but we believe he is healthy and happy and reunited with his best friend, my husband who passed in 2020. Until we see you again Merlin, love you Buddy.
September 1, 2011 - August 18, 2023
Baxter was our 70-pound ball of energy with a tail of mass destruction, (he cleared the coffee table with it many times!) He was such a beautiful chocolate lab and you could not convince him that he was not a lap dog. He never missed a meal, but the way he got excited at feeding time would make you think he was starving to death. He loved anyone and everyone who would take the time to stop and pet him. He had a loud bark and could sound intimidating if he thought any of his humans were threatened, but the truth is he was a big baby and would run and hide from Chihuahua's at the dog park! Baxter you brought us so much joy and laughter. You were always there to cuddle and snuggle when we were having a bad day. In 2019 we brought home a little Dachshund/Yorkie mix puppy. Baxter was terrified of her for about a day, but she was in love and followed him everywhere. Before we knew it, she was cuddled up sleeping with Baxter, chewing on his ears, stealing his treats and even using him as a bed, they were best buds. Baxter I still feel your presence in the house, still find myself waiting for you to come to the door. I'm surprised when you don't come running at meal time. Run free big boy! I know you are reunited with Merlin and Dad and we'll see you again one day!
7/22/2019-7/13/2023
There are no words to describe all the attributes of our Eddy. There was a little person in there. He was so intelligent and had such a sense of humor. He could switch from a love sponge that would grab your face in his paws and kiss it all over to a little mischief maker that loved to jump out and scare people and even smacked me on the rear once when I wasn't expecting it. He loved to play games and would find ways to communicate what he wanted to play. He loved playing hide and seek and would wait for about the count to 10 after hearing the kids play in the house. He loved to be chased and roar around at top speed like a race car.
His favorite thing in the world was to be petted at the food bowl. He didn't want to eat if someone wouldn't come and love on him. We said he can't live without love and food so he was smart enough to say why not have them both together? The food would feed his belly and the love would feed his soul. He chortled and churruped and sang but when he was being ignored he would make us all laugh by just saying the word "meow". We will always miss him. He was so full of life and vitality he knew what it was to enjoy life to the fullest. He was a once in a lifetime kind of cat and I want to always remember him full of love, life, and fun.

Patrick 'Swayze' born October 2007, left my arms March 4, 2023. My best friend his whole 15 years, 5 months of a treasured life, my papered service animal savior confidant. Swayze loved couch snuggles, yogurt and ice cream tastings, BBQ chip samples, tuna water, staring lovingly and obsessively for hours at his human Papa Todd, window sill sun baths, heater vents and any can that was opened got your very vocal OSHA (uncertified) can sniffer test. We had a language nobody else knew, and miss you more than the desert misses the rain.
Miss Zada was my heart dog from the moment we adopted her in 2009 from Cowlitz County shelter. She was our sons best friend the moment we brought him home in 2011. Miss Zada loved food, alot. Her counter surfing skills were epic. Her favorite people were kids and anyone with treats. She loved toys but only if she could shred them and get the squeaker out. You can find her beautiful face on Inkopious from an online photo contest she won a couple years ago. She truly was a special dog to me and losing her has left a huge hole in my heart
Thank you Dr. Squibb and staff for taking such great care of my girl from beginning to end.
Dutchess was born February 1 2006, she was 16 yrs old when she earned her doggy wings on November 15th 2022. She was our only fur baby in our home and we loved her so very much and we miss her even more 💔 . Thank you for being the best fur baby ever.
8/25/2002 - 10/18/2022
He was truly an amazing cat and our home will never be the same without his funny, cuddly personality. He filled our house with love and made us laugh. Summit loved everyone and was our personal greeter when friends came to the door.
He came into our lives as a tiny kitten that I found backed up against a tree by a squirrel.
We brought him home and our house was never the same.
We always said he hit the Kitty lotto when he came into our lives but I say we hit the lotto when he came to live with us.
Rest in peace my little man. Love you to the moon and back!
06/2010 - 09/27/22
From the day we brought him home from Foster Care when he was five months old, Jack has been the most loving, appreciative dog we ever had. Loved everyone (no exceptions - maybe not squirrels 🤔) and would have made a great therapy pet. He always knew when you were down and took great pains to let you know he was there for you.. We'll miss his Chihuahua bark and his constantly shedding Pomeranian coat. Thanks for memories Big Guy.

Sombre was such a loving kitty, very handsome and full of energy. He was quite a talker….and a bird-hunter. Loved empty boxes (in which to hide), getting pets, chin-scratches, and lap-sitting. Sombre was a Seahawk fan (of course!). He brought joy to us every day.

She came to my husband as a stray kitten and was bonded to him immediately. She loved cuddles and teriyaki chicken. Our family won’t be the same without her. Thank you Dr. Squibb and staff at North Cascades Veterinary Hospital for your kindness during this difficult time.
8/2006 - 12/2021
He was my best friend. My 11 yr old daughter Abbie has also lost a sibling it feels like. Chevy was such a loyal, fun dog. His favorite thing besides eating, was to lay on his back and do "gator rolls" he was not fond of cats, or even very many other dogs, but he sure loved his family. We miss him greatly. REST IN PARADISE buddy.

Rascal's Story...
Rascal was a wonderful dog and was almost 15 when he let us know he was ready to go. He had a lot of physical difficulties in the end, but it was my pleasure to help him until he said he had had enough. We adopted him from English Springer Spaniel Rescue of America when he was almost 10. He was a self trained therapy dog who helped several friends and relatives in their time of need. He will be greatly missed. He was part of an ad campaign for our local hospital’s cancer care. If you are interested in seeing it, you can google sandy mercereau skagit regional health to see their story.

Winston never met a stranger in his life. He believed every person he ever met was his life-long best friend. He lived to make all of his friends smile. He was the best snuggler we ever knew and was always more than willing to curl up for a warm, cozy nap. He was the best pug in the world and he was perfect for us.

You came to us at a time when I needed to learn to love in a whole and unfettered way. You were a goofy, patient, smart, loyal, affectionate, giving friend. You allowed the cat to reign and eventually won her over. You are missed every day. Well done, good and faithful friend!

The best old man. He was the best rescue dog we have ever had. From not letting us get close enough to even touch him, to sleeping under the covers with us every single night. Great with kids, so loving, and the best companion we could have asked for. Boomer is greatly missed and loved beyond measure.

This is Ditto, he was a genuine soul. In his younger days he could run faster than birds could fly. When he was 2 years old, he fractured 4 discs. It was a long road to recovery but we did it, he walked again, but could never run quite the same. He gave all he could, until there was no more. I hope he knows that I loved him, and was the best dog mom I could be to him. He is survived by his father, Roman and his brother Barker, and adopted brother Ed. May you finally be at rest my dear friend. I love you - Mama. Give Curry (his mother) love from all of us.
12/25/2005 - 5/29/2020
Born at our home on Christmas Eve, the first of seven pups. The very sweetest girl and my shadow and helper every day.
3/2006 - 5/11/2020
Anna was a great companion, always there to see me off to work in the morning, and there at the door to greet me back home. The house is now strangely empty without her, she will be missed.

We miss you Dash, you were such a good boy!

She was a loyal friend to everyone. We made three trips to the east coast and back with her and she was never a problem wherever we stopped .
12/26/2008 - 2/29/20
From the time Buddy came into our life to the time he made his trip over the rainbow bridge, his ability to love his people and his brother & sister critters was never ending. He never missed his chances to give his love to others, especially those at NCVH.

My husband and I would like to thank North Cascade Vet Hospital and Dr. O'Brien for helping us with Kit during a quickly escalating health crisis as our normal vet office was closed due to snow.
We adopted Kit (we really called him Kitty Kit Kitten but Kit is easier to explain) from NOAH Animal Shelter February 13th, 2016. He had been in a no kill shelter for approximately 2.5 years becuase he was FIV positive. But it was love at first sight. We knew the risks and decided that we would give him the best life he could have without extensive intervention. He left us just one month short of four years.
He followed my husband everywhere, he talked to us and answered yes (yah yah) or no (one meow), he expected the fresh cat nip we grew and ate some out the planter all the time!
Rest in peace Kitty Kit Kitten
6/11/05 - 12/20/19
My sweet boy was Pup Dockter. He loved to fetch balled up post-its and would always come when called. He was the perfect cat anyone could have. He was extremely loved and spoiled. Words cannot adequately express the love and gratitude I have for you Sadie-Mae. You, single-pawedly, brought me around to being the positive on-track individual I am today through your unconditional love. I thought I was rescuing you back in 2006. Turns out we rescued each other. You will always be in my heart and in my thoughts. Run free beloved Sadie!

The day you wagged into our life, we bonded from the start. You brought happiness to all our years and love into our hearts. There is no other like you- you were beautifully unique and our hearts break to not have you here every minute of every day. Even in your absence, there is hope my friend. On that rainbow bridge we’ll meet; to love and play again!
Love you always and forever!

B. 12/27/07 D. 10/6/22
Rosy was born in Alger...the only girl in a litter of eight. She was smart and athletic, and one of my best friends.
At six months she figured how to let herself in through the screen door, and by winter, she mastered the main door, too! When I come home, how I miss your welcoming bark.
You truly left your footprints on my heart.
RIP my sweet Rosy. I'll remember you always and love and miss you forever.

My husband and I were married in Feb. 2007, our Dottie was born in Dec. 2007, we got her for our first anniversary, she was only 2 months old and no bigger than 1/2 a pop can. We took her to your clinic for her first shots and checkup and you kept her healthy all her life.
We lost my husband in June 2018 and she was never really the same, she really clung to me, I think she was afraid I would leave and not come back also.
She was so cute and so smart and kept us entertained all the time. Animals are not really as dumb as we think they are, she also had an inner clock that told her and us when it was time to eat or time for bed.
You, who had taken care of her all her life, at the end, stepped up and did the dirty work for us but was a blessing for her, I am sure.
We loved our little girl, and she will always live in our hearts, and I know that she is now busy looking after my husband and playing with all the other doggies.
2/22/06 - 3/31/2023
The day came and went on Friday March 31st. At just a month over 17 years our precious little best friend lay down for one last nap. He left us on his own terms, had just had his favorite morning snack and was snoring peacefully in his bed at home. A very much loved little dog that is missed every day now.
Attached is a picture of Sylvie in her typical position. I don't know when she was born because I "adopted" her from the Hansen family. She went to Pet Heaven on April 3rd to play with those who have gone before her. She was a sweetie, hence I called her Sweety Pete. She loved snuggling, and would lick and gently nibble on you when she was happy. And she was happy a lot. I miss her dearly.

Charlie was the best dog I ever had. From the day that we picked him up, and he was this giant fluff ball. To watching him grow and experience the world. His soul will forever be in my heart. He was my hiking, camping and mountain biking buddy. He got to travel with me and see the most beautiful places in the world. Losing him has truly broken my heart but I’m so thankful I got 14 years with him. I would like to thank all the staff and especially Dr.Squibb for how amazing you all were with him. A railroad worker in Missoula MT found Montana under his porch in the middle of winter, cold and hungry. After a few months of searching, he rehomed Montana with me. Montana was aloof, quiet, and always looked angry/done with your crap, unless he was high on fresh catnip. I knew he wasn't angry though because his favorite thing was to throw his entire body down onto my arm to sleep at night, his back against my heart, his head under my chin. He chose to stay with me when I was being let go from many things, in a very hard period of my life. Since we found each other, we've been to volcanoes, calderas, alpine lakes, redwoods, rainforests, ocean beaches, fresh water springs, hot springs, even rode a bike or two, gone on walks around the block, and many weekend camping trips. We moved across 3 states, into many different homes, and finally found our happy place in Washington. It's weirdly fitting that Montana was found in winter time, and then he left in winter time. I wish that wherever he is, he has a warm pocket of sunshine always there to bask in, fresh water and catnip whenever he wants it, and all the love I feel and have ever felt for him helping him stay comfortable and painless. Montana, my dear Adventure kitty, I will hold you close forever. 💜💜Forehead kisses💜💜
